Mechanical Performance

1. Mating Force and Unmating Force

Condition: EIA 364-13. Insert and extract at a speed of 25mm/minute.

Mating Force: 50 N maximum

Unmating Force: 20 N minimum

2. Durability:

Condition: EIA 364-09. Mated and Unmated connector for 25cycles at a rate of 200 cycles per hour.

There shall be no physical damage and shall meet requirements of subsequent test.

   

Electrical Performance

1. Contact Resistance

Condition: EIA 364-23. Subject mated contacts assembled in housing to 20mV maximum. Open circuit at 100mA maximum.

30 mohm maximum, initial per contact mated pair.

2. Dielectric Withstanding Voltage

Condition: EIA 364-20. Method B. Test between adjacent of mated and unmated connector assemblies. The dielectric shall withstand 500 VAC for 1 minute at sea level.

No flashover, no spark over, no excess leakage and no breakdown.

3. Insulation Resistance

Condition: EIA 364-21. Method C. Measure the insulation resistance between the adjacent contacts of mated and unmated connector assemblies.

The IR shall be 1000 Mohm minimum.
